Bjork San Francisco August 8, 2003 Best Concert Ever |
||
Bjork Bjork Bjork, how we love thee. So cute, so dynamic, so bjork. Nam was already excited about this concert though Ming was not because he was not familiar with Bjorks work. However, Nam convinced him to go and so they went. The stage was set in an interesting venue on Pier 30/32 overlooking the bay and a beautifully clear summer night in San Francisco. There was a light breezed from the West as the moon was at about 3/4 right above the metal trelace of the stage. Lighting equipment and speakers hung precariously in uniform style down from the giant scaffolding and interesting instruments littered the stage. The band then came out and took their places, followed by a little woman dressed in something reminiscent of princess Leya on heroine. And the music thumped through the well designed sound system configuration through the pier. A few more songs and flames started to shoot in pillars from behind the stage, much to our amazement. Then to top it, fireworks began igniting in the sky to the beat of the music. It was orgasmic. SHe went through a barrage of songs throughout her albums and her movie. An interspersed between them were more bouts of fireworks and burning trees. Yes, burning trees. All in all, best concert ever. |
