Laundry

In the internet world of today, things occur quickly, dating included. The evolution of dating has progressed from drawn-out and chaperoned appointments in the mid century to drive thrus of the 60s and finally to the chat and whore mentallity of the millenium. Where have all the cowboys gone.

But then again some people don't want a cowboy. The old fashion girl may also may becoming a thing of the past. It makes me sad. But I digress. The true reason for this article is to discuss for fast is too fast.

Picture a chance encounter. Two people find each other and have a nice date at the clubs. They look longing into each others eyes at the sound of "last call for alcohol". Eyes wink and gestures motion to the door and impending carnal pleasure. Jump to morning... you wake up next to each other in an awkward realization of drunken stupidity. The tension is broken and you begin to talk and somehow you find that this person isn't as bad as you might have thought he could have been. You calm down and find yourself spending the day with this person and having a wonderful time.

Things start getting cozy and you are spending all your time together... its only been two days... and the boy brings his laundry over for you to do.

Do you freak out? Do you let it happen? How fast is too fast. You've already done the deed but are you ready to jump into married life for to try it out after just a day or two.

The sad fact is that many of us are. Why are we so desparate for companionship that we require things to happen quickly. Are we so attention decifit that any other speed would be not acceptable. Perhaps its the insecurity of the not knowing or the perhaps the lack of time. Do people feel the need for a relationship without the work involved?

YES

Is it wrong?

YES

What can we do about it?

NOTHING

This is one of the many ways to go after your partner. There is nothing really wrong with these people, they simply need to find someone else that is compatible with their style. Maybe it is for you. If it is, keep in mind, the next time your on a date... find out if he has a washer/dryer.
