Sushi Groove

Ming decided to take Eudean and Nam out to their favorite restaurant in order to celebrate Nam's and Eudean's September birthdays.

What makes Sushi Groove so nice. Well, for the most part, quality service, trendy decor, great wait staff, hospitable atmosphere, fresh fish, and well orchestrated entrees. All these things makes Sushi Groove one of 3AFs top picks.

Here is was tonight's menu selected by Nam.

To start, Eudean and Ming began with beers.. a nice Asahi and a Sapporo Ichiban.

Nam, the lush that he is, begins with a nice martini glass filled to the brim with one of his favorite sakes (Nihonjo). Nihonjo is another great reason why Nam especially enjoys Sushi Groove. There are 2 Sushi Grooves in town, however 3AF prefers the one on 11th and Folsom, no reason really, just a blind preference.

After drinks, we were quickly seated and had our usual table and waitress. This usualness is purely coincidental, but has be

en a time honored tradition.

A bottle of champagne was ordered and the courses began with a few appetizers. To prepare the palate, a refreshing seaweed salad followed by asparagus wrapped in procuitto. Then we had a helping of Spider Rolls. Once this was finished, we asked what fish was fresh that day and ordered accordingly. So we had a nice plateful of Nigiri (Toro extra fatty tuna, King Salmon, Unagi eel , and Spicy Hotate scallops)

The fresh tastes of the sea is well complimented with a second course of more savory dishes. And so the next were some specialties seen at Sushi Groove. Nigiri style grilles steak and fois gras. The fois gras is just to die for. DIE. I mean, you put the thing in your mouth and god calls you from up on high because he is afraid heaven would not be as tempting compared to this fatty juicy delicacy. Nam and Ming could stand its wonder!

But, you cannot end there, because you do not feel finished. Having such a dish begs for more. So, to balance our needs a grilled sea bass was ordered. A very light and satisfying dish. This dish perfectly finished off the main courses.

Then to dessert. Nam and Ming have a particular fondness for mochi ice cream and Eudean was particular fond of the green tea tiramisu, and so we ordered both to end our Sushi Groove orgasmic adventure.

Yummy!
